Jesus Christ, Grace, Righteousness, Bible, Good News

Jesus asked His disciples “who do man say I am?”. Among the crowd who came to hear Him and saw the power of God operating through Him, they all have different belief in their heart of who He was. His disciples answered “some say you are Moses and some say you are Elijah” They saw Him as just one of the prophets, perhaps because they only saw the miracles that Jesus did.

Jesus then asked His disciples directly “But who do you think I am”? Jesus did not asked this question so that He could feel important. He did not ask the question so that He can be proud or that He is lack of self confidence. He asked the question not for Him but for His disciples' sake which is to ground them on the revelation that He is the Son of the Living God; not just a prophet. Prophets cannot die for us to save us from the punishment of our sins and hell. He wants them to know that He is the Son of God, the Saviour that God gave.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Two thousand years have passed and Christians know who Jesus is. We confessed and accepted Him as our Saviour. But today the same question that Jesus asked is still applicable and important to us.

The bible says “As He is, so are we in this world”. What is our perception of Christ Jesus today?  Is He just a miracle working prophet of the past just like Moses and Elijah? Does He still do miracles today and will He do the miracle for me?

As a believer in Jesus Christ, our victory, joy, blessings, freedom, righteousness, boldness, freedom from fear and bondage, acceptance before God is wrapped up in Him.

When we face a difficult situation or challenge in life, who is Jesus to us? Is He still Saviour today or Saviour of the past? Is He compassionate? Will He help us even though we are not all together “good” or obedient in our behaviour and thinking?

When we feel condemned, who is Jesus to us? Is He our righteousness? If He is, then we can we assured that if God accepts Jesus and loves Him so much, then we are accepted and can expect to be greatly loved by God. We can walk with confidence that God is not angry with us. We can be at ease when we pray and come before our Daddy God.

The Bible says “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”.  Is Christ your righteousness? If so, then you are righteous. You don’t have to feel condemned no more. It is no more about you. It is about Christ Jesus.

When you need an answer or help to a crisis, is Jesus your answer and solution?  Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth and the life”. If you need comfort and direction, Jesus said “I am the Good Shepherd”. He knows how to take care of His sheep. He makes them to lie down in green pastures beside rivers of running water.

Sometimes we may think that the reason we don’t get an answer to our prayer is because we don’t have enough faith to believe. The enemy is quick to point out that you fail to do this and that or you don't have enough faith and that is why you can’t believe. It makes you think that you don’t qualify to receive and therefore you don’t have faith to believe that God will answer your prayer.

Jesus is your faith that you are lacking. Just as He is, so are you in this world. The Bible says faith is in Christ Jesus. Is He your faith to receive?

1 Timothy 1:14
And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

When you need victory over an area or situation in your life, is Jesus your Victory?

2 Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

Today, after we have accepted Him as our Saviour, who do we say in our heart that He is. Is He a one-time Saviour who gave His life on the cross and then forgets about us? Is he still doing the miracles that He did when He was on earth? Is He still the same Yesterday , Today and Forever like what the Bible says? Does He still love you?

Jesus is all together lovely and all together kind. He is all together powerful and is seated at the right hand of God. He did not gave His life on the cross so that you can be lost or forgotten. He is our Good Shepherd; He is still our Saviour not just our soul, but every situation and challenge we face. No one loves us like Jesus and He still does. Never was He ever angry with His people not even the prostitute. He set her free.

Jesus is our everything that is good. If you have not known Him, He is a free gift from God. You can receive Him and have a personal relationship with Jesus, the Son of the Living God and know the Father’s heart.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
