Jesus Christ, Grace, Righteousness, Bible, Good News

We all grow up in different countries, cultures and family circumstances. Some of us may feel that our daddy is the greatest person while others may not even want to hear the mention of their dad’s name. We all have a view of what and how we think about our biological father. Some of us think of our father as being unjust, favoring another sibling more than you. Some may describe our father as an active erupting volcano; angry all the time. Yet some may think of their father as cruel, merciless, stupid or a miser. For some, their fathers are their role models, their heroes and their strength when they need help.

The perception we have of our earthly father shapes our relationship with him. If you think your father is always angry with you, you will not have a good relationship with him. If fact, you will try to avoid him. You may even be afraid when he wants to talk to you. You could grow up hating him even though he loves you.

As important as our thinking shapes our relationship with our earthly father, our perception of our Heavenly Father shapes our relationship with Him.

There is why Jesus came to reveal our Heavenly Father’s heart. He said “When you see me, you see the Father”. Who Jesus is, what He does and why He did what He did and what he said reflects our Daddy’s heart of love and compassion for humanity and for us.

Do you see that our Heavenly Daddy truly loves us unconditionally?

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Would you send you son to die for someone else son? What if he is your only son? What if that someone else son is a criminal or a rascal? We were that criminal that sin against the perfect law of God. If Daddy God did not love us, would He have given His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to take our place of death on the cross.

If someone is willing to trade gold for dust, surely he must have loved and have compassion for the dust. We are that dust and Jesus is the gold.

Some of us may have come from a family or society where we are made to think that only when we are good, then our father loves us. When we are naughty, he doesn’t love us anymore and we don’t deserve his love.

Does our heavenly Daddy love us like that? Only when we obey us, then He loves us, hears our pray or smiles upon us. When we fail to obey Him, He will punish us, he will not love us and is far far away from us. When we fail Him, He doesn’t care for us anymore, He doesn’t want to hear our pray and He doesn’t want to help us. Is that how our Heavenly Daddy loves us?

Surely not. The bible says “Even before we knew Him, He loves us” …..

Before we were born, He loves us. How can we be obedient before we were born? His love is unconditional. His word says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…”.

There isn’t any condition attached. It didn’t say “when you obey me, I will love you”. Daddy God so loved, He gave the gift of His Son to die for our sins. We only have to accept His gift. There is no condition. Sin has to be punished and He gave His Son to be punished in our place because He loves us. We just have to accept that Jesus died for us. If we do not want to accept that, then we have to be punished for our sins.

Do you think our Heavenly Daddy keeps good things like blessings of peace, prosperity, healing from us to teach a lesson?

Our Heavenly Daddy delights in our prosperity. He does not keep anything good from us. The bible says only the thief came to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus who represents Daddy God’s heart said “ I came that you may have life and have it more abundantly”.

Matthew 7:7-11
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Our Daddy God is generous. He made us heir and joint heir with Christ in His kingdom and freely gives us all things to enjoy. When he created the earth, he gave Adam everything to enjoy except from the “tree of knowledge of good and evil”.

Do you know that Daddy God delights in the prosperity of His children and not the poverty of His children?

Daddy wants you to prosper. He delights that you prosper, to be so blessed that you can be a blessing to others.

Our heavenly Daddy wants us to be healthy and happy (soul prosperity). He wants every area of your life prosperous. He does not want to keep blessing away from any area of your life. He says in His Word “ that you may prosper in all things (not only some area in your life and that includes health and wealth) even as your soul prosper (inner peace).

Psalm 35:27
Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.

Philippians 4:19
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Do you see God as a merciless judge executing judgment all the time upon us?

Look at Jesus when He was here on earth. He hates the Pharisees and Sadducees passing judgment on others and he called them “brood of vipers”.

Jesus whom our Daddy God sent did not come to give judgment but to save us from being judged guilty. He came not to judge but to save. He represents our Daddy God’s heart. Daddy God had to judge our sins on His Son so that we can never be judged and held accountable for our sins anymore.

Therefore His word can declare “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” ….. Romans 8:1

Daddy God is full of compassion and mercy. He never wants to execute the judgment of our sins on us. In fact, with the new covenant of grace through Christ Jesus, He does not want and cannot remember our sins anymore. Not that He is senile but through the death of His Son Jesus Christ on the cross, the punishment and the shredding of His Son’s blood, judgment of all our sins had been fully executed. Therefore we are no more guilty of our sins and therefore they cannot be brought up before our Daddy God anymore.

Hebrews 10:17
Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.

Daddy God loves you and He will never execute judgment upon you to punish you. He paid with the price of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

If He is not merciful, we would all end up in hell. If He is not merciful, he would not have sent Moses to bring the Jews out of captivity. He would have left them to die in the wilderness with their non-stop complaining.

Do you see God as a caring Daddy or one who does not care especially about you?

Sometimes when we seemingly do not get an answer to our prayer or the way we expect our prayer to be answered or having to wait a little longer for the answer, we sometimes may have question as to whether God cares about our situation.

Yes He does care. Jesus told us that God even cares to number the hairs on our head. He shows us that Daddy God cares about every aspect of our lives; not matter how minute or insignificant it may seem; like numbering the hairs on our head.

Matthew 10:30-31
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Daddy God thinks about you everyday. He thinks good thoughts about you and have good plan in place for you.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Our Daddy God is full of love and compassionate. He is merciful and will never execute punishment upon us even though we may not be doing the right things. He is always eager for us to come to Him because He loves us. He wants us to know that He loves us. He doesn’t want us to fear Him – not like Adam who hid from Him. He thinks about us everyday, Every time He thinks of us, He always smile because He sees us in Christ; lovable, adorable, kind, obedient.

When God sees us, He sees us in Christ. Let us see our Daddy God in Christ because He came to reveal the Father’s heart. Jesus came to give and not to receive. He came to serve and not be served. He came to save and not to punish. He came to heal and not to place sickness and disease on people. He came to give hope and not condemnation. He came to make us righteous even though of our self we are guilty. He came to set us free and not to be bounded by laws and commandments and traditions of men. He came to love us, paid for our sin guilt with His death so that we can never be separated from Daddy God again. He came that we may live again and have life more abundantly. He came to restore and not to destroy. That is our God. That is our DADDY!
