Jesus Christ, Grace, Righteousness, Bible, Good News

Have you ever been told by a  sincere friend “don’t just ask and keep asking God for things because you will  be disappointed if you do not get what you asked for?” People are getting  sceptical if God is good and will He answer you as He said he will. People begin  to doubt if they are good enough for God to answer their requests. People begin to think that God is schizophrenic and sometimes if He feels like giving you  what you ask for, He will give you and sometimes He just would not and you  better not ask Him why.
It  is silly to think that way. Imagine you are drowning in the sea just like a lot of us are in the world (with financial problems, marriage problems, health problems, sleep problems, diet problems etc.) and there standing on the jetty   is your Daddy God with a life buoy. What do you think? Do you ask Him for help   or not. Or do you think He will not help you. And even if you think you will not get the answer, will that change the situation you are already in? You will not just ask, you will yell "Daddy HELP, throw me that Life  buoy".
We are children of God, let us trust our Daddy God. He made us, He knows us and He gave everything for us. He gave us everything when He gave us His only begotten
Son Jesus Christ to die for us.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

What is  more valuable than His Son that He would withhold from us? As children; just as  you remember when you were a child, whatever you liked, whatever you wanted, you
just smiled  and stretched out your hands and grabbed the things you wanted and daddy will give it to you. Children ask, Daddy provides!
His  love is unconditional and so is His giving. When He loved you, He gave you His most precious Son Jesus Christ.  He did not ask you for something or your good behaviour when He gave you Jesus. Daddy God did not disqualify you to receive, don't disqualify your receiving.
Believes in Him and what do we believes in Daddy God? It is believing in His goodness and His so willingness to give and bless us. He first gave us His only Son. Believes He is a generous God, a loving Father and a giving Daddy.
Why did the chosen people, the Jews murmured so much when they were given their freedom and they were on their way to the Promised Land? It is because they did not believe God is generous and a giving God. Yet in their murmuring, as their  God, He provided for them.
Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

If God  cares for the birds in the air, how much more will he not care for you and provides for your every need. He just wants you to ask Him so that He can shower His love upon you. He loves to see you full of joy, lacking nothing.

 John 16:24
Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Dare  to ask and that is what Daddy God wants you to do. Imagine yourself as a daddy and you are so rich and imagine richer than Bill Gates, Warren Buffet or anyone on planet earth. Your only son one day happened to see a nice sports car that he so loved. He dreams about it day and night, he loses sleep thinking how nice he could own it and take it for a real spin and how his friends would envy him. The problem is that he has no money to buy it. But he has a super-rich father but he dare not ask him. He thinks his father will ask him so many questions why he should have the car and in the end would just give the lame excuse “next time son!” And here the super-rich Father is thinking every day “I have everything, what can I give my son today to make his day and see the big smile on his face”. How sad for the father if he knows how the son thinks of  him.

I can’t  imagine how sad Daddy God would be and sometimes we think of Him that way. We  think He is unwilling to give us things and He always has a reason for  withholding things from us.

No,  Daddy God is not like that. It gives Him good pleasure to give you what you ask for, what you want and what you need.

Luke 12:32
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom”.

Dare to  ask – for in asking you will receive.  You ask not and you receive not.

Remember  how Jesus healed blind Bartimaeus. When Jesus went out of Jericho with His disciples and a  great multitude. Blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.   And when he heard that it was  Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy  on me!” Many asked him to be  quiet but he cried out more. Jesus then stopped and called him to come to him  and ask him “What do you want me to  do?”.

Imagine blind Bartimaeus looking at Jesus and  feeling condemned said “Never mind, you are very busy and I don’t want to  disturb you!” or “Is it too much or not to ask you to heal me?” or “You can do  healing or not?”

No, He had heard about the most gracious Saviour  and just asked “Rabboni, that I may
receive my sight
.” And Jesus healed him. Jesus did not question him why he  needed healing, whether he has any unforgiven sin or whether he had done the  right things to qualify for his healing. He just healed him because He loved  him. Your heavenly Father is like that. Jesus said when you see Him, you see the  Father.

 Matthew 7:8
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
James 4:2
You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.

The same question Daddy God is asking you today  ““What do you want me to do?”. So  dare to ask and receive. It makes Daddy God happy and it makes you  happy!
